Lots Happening at the FREE Showing of Back to the Future on the Common Tonight

We have a full lineup of activities planned for tonight's showing of Back to the Future (about 8:30 pm)on the Worcester Common. Here's a few of the highlights....
  1. We are going to open tonight's show with some live music by the local '80s tribute band, Flock of ***holes..... Show scheduled to start shortly after 6 pm...
  2. No need to head to the Cape for a shark siting, Worcester's own Finz, mascot for the Worcester Sharks  AHL ice hockey team is scheduled to make an appearance tonight....
  3. Jen Carter from 104.5 WXLO's Jen & Steve in the Morning show will be on hand to MC tonight's events.....
  4. The Theatre Cafe and Sweet Sister Ice Cream will be on site offering sandwiches, ice cream and candy, and Worcester Film Works will give it a go again with the rented popcorn machine and soda and water offerings from Polar Beverages.....
Remember to bring your lawn chairs and/or blankets, as the limited seating in the oval was claimed relatively early at the last show. Feel free to pack a picnic dinner, or why not visit on of the many great restaurants downtown, on Shrewsbury St., or in the Canal District (map) before heading over for the show? One convenient option is Overtime Tap, located right across the street from the Common.

You say you can't come because you need to get some work done before taking a long weekend? We have you covered there too. Grab your laptop or iPad and come on down to the Common where you can connect to the Internet using the City of Worcester's FREE wi-fi access.

And feel free to wear some of your classic '80s clothes if you would like. First male and female I see wearing those classic white Rebook hi-tops gets a free bag of popcorn.

  1. Should be a great night and another great show! I might have to run over to Strawberries to pick up Huey Lewis & The News' latest tape and then head to the Galleria for an Orange Julius before the show!
